ITPL-T10 Official Game Rules
Welcome to the official ITPL-T10 Cricket Rulebook, your complete guide to the rules, regulations, and code of conduct for all ITPL-T10 cricket matches. These guidelines ensure fair play, safety, and the spirit of the game across all tournaments organized by ITPL-T10.
1. Match Format
- All matches will follow the T10 cricket format (10 overs per side).
- Each innings will consist of 60 legal deliveries.
- Matches will be played with a standard tennis ball.
2. Team Composition
- Each team must consist of 11 players and up to 3 substitutes.
- Substitutes can be used only for fielding purposes and cannot bat or bowl unless a player suffers an injury.
- A minimum of 7 players is required for a team to start the match.
3. Overs & Bowling Regulations
- Each bowler can bowl a maximum of 2 overs per match.
- Underarm bowling is strictly prohibited.
- No-balls (overstepping, beamer, etc.) and wides will result in an extra run and a free hit.
4. Powerplay Rules
- The first 3 overs of each innings will be the powerplay, during which only 2 fielders are allowed outside the 30-yard circle.
5. Fielding Restrictions
- After the powerplay, a maximum of 5 fielders are allowed outside the 30-yard circle.
- No more than 5 fielders are allowed on the leg side at any time.
6. Batting Guidelines
- Batsmen must wear protective gear (helmet, gloves, pads, etc.) for safety.
- A batsman will be declared out for time-wasting or unsporting behavior.
- Retired hurt batsman may return later in the innings if declared fit.
7. Dismissals
All standard forms of dismissals apply:
✔ Bowled
✔ LBW
✔ Caught
✔ Run Out
✔ Hit Wicket
✔ Stumped
- Mankading is permitted but must follow a proper warning procedure.
8. No-Balls & Wides
- Overstepping the crease results in a no-ball.
- A beamer (above waist height) or more than one bouncer per over results in a no-ball.
- Any delivery outside the batsman’s wide guideline is a wide ball.
- Both no-balls and wides will result in 1 extra run + a free hit.
9. Match Timings & Punctuality
- Teams must report 30 minutes before the scheduled start.
- A 10-minute grace period is allowed; after that, a walkover may be awarded.
10. Code of Conduct
- All players must adhere to the ITPL-T10 Code of Conduct, promoting fair play, respect for officials, and good sportsmanship.
- Use of foul language, physical aggression, or match-fixing will result in immediate disqualification.
11. Umpiring Decisions
- Umpires’ decisions are final and binding.
- Dissent or arguing with umpires is strictly prohibited.
12. Tie-Breaker / Super Over
- In case of a tie, a Super Over will be played.
- If the Super Over also ends in a tie, the team with more boundaries in the match will be declared the winner.
13. Weather Conditions
- In case of weather interruptions, the match duration may be reduced, or it may be rescheduled at the discretion of the organizers.
14. Safety & Insurance
- ITPL-T10 is not liable for injuries; all players participate at their own risk.
- Players are advised to have personal injury insurance.
15. Amendments
- ITPL-T10 reserves the right to modify rules at any time before or during the tournament.
- Updated rules will be communicated to all captains and teams.
